A new effort is underway to highlight businesses along a popular Bay area highway.
Business owner Patricia Filomeno is making it her business to boost business along U.S. 19.
She started a social media campaign called “I Love U.S. 19” to call attention to shops on the busy stretch of highway.
“I was looking for something that supports businesses in the area, and I was searching and I didn’t find it so I said I’m just going to make the community myself,” Filomeno said.
Filomeno is bringing businesses along U.S. 19 together through her website and Facebook page. Then Filomeno will market it to potential customers.
“I want this website to be everything you want to know about 19,” Filomeno said. “I want to have the news, I want to have entertainment.”
Filomeno even got shirts printed to show her love for U.S. 19.
She wants the campaign to serve as a networking tool to draw more business into the area. As seen on Bay News 9
